A good little film that deserves more acknowledgement

This was a fun and good little film. It managed to combine the zaniness of 1950s sci-fi and horror quite well and was enjoyable. The plot was thin and a lot of things weren't explained, but I see what they were trying to do, and they did it well. I'm surprised this movie isn't more known about. I can only imagine it must not have gotten much marketing when it came out. Only 170ish votes on IMDB as I write this, and lord knows even some of the most terrible films ever have over a thousand votes. Quite sad this doesn't get more notice. I imagine one day it will have a cult following though.

I agree with you completely. I've seen this movie at a few film festivals in different cities, and the reaction is always the same. The audience always 'gets it', happily going along for the ride. I've never seen it when they didn't applaud all through the cast credits at the end (the ones accompanied by quick clips), acknowledging the work of everyone involved and favorite characters/actors in particular.

I'm sure it will hang on, and achieve a slowly growing fan base over time. It is a little more widely available now, since it was recently released on dvd, so people who were unsure of checking it out on the screen can do so at their leisure. Odds are, if you found your way to the description of the movie somehow, then there is something in it for you.

Agreed. This film was a stone gas. I loved the wildly creative and downright eccentric way into combined elements of horror, science fiction, comedy, film noir, and even the musical into one genuinely weird and original mix.

Loved it! Seems like heard about it YEARS ago, but I finally saw it fairly recently!

Great flick! Forbidden zone/Edgar Ulmer/Film Noir/Greaser vibe!
