Resemlance with Predator
Have anyone noticed the many resemblances with Predator 1987 ?
shareYeah, quite a few things resemble Predator in this movie. For instance the part where they are all shooting at their 'predator', but he gets away. In Predator it's kind of the same thing when he shouts "Contact!" and they shoot most of their ammo into the jungle without actually seeing the predator.
Even music and soundeffects have similarities with Predator.
Also the skull cleaning/collecting is very much like in the movie Predator.
Besides the fact that this is not a great movie, I wonder why the maker/writer did it. The acting is not too bad though (I have seen (far) worse).
Exactly. And that metal can that one of the character is drinking wisky from (I do not now the name of that).
shareI am half an hour in & have noticed two similarities with the original predator film.
1)The fat guy with the sunglasses who seems to look knowingly around but doesn't say anything.When he does,he says stuff like "It doesn't make any sense!" or "There are no tracks!" reminds me of the indian guy in the first predator movie.
2)When they find the woman & then go chasing after their money.They stop to rest & recount what is happening.One guy looks at the woman & says "Whats happening around here?"Another guy responds by saying "She doesn't say sh*t!" & then the woman starts gibbering crazy chatter...just like in the original predator.
I am amazed that nobody has shot themselves,running around in the woods with loaded rifles.
The big music (sound?) build up then...nothing has already occurred twice.
Movie looks trash so far.
An hour & half in.
One of the guys found the trapdoor,opened it & boom!A rifle was rigged up to the trapdoor.Bad guy comes along.Drags the body down through the trapdoor shutting it behind him,leaving the radio as the only sign he was originally there.
How does the dirt get on top of the trapdoor?He would have had to rig the trapdoor up to the rifle,close the trapdoor from above & cover it with dirt.Why?All it would do would give away his hiding place.
Okay,so the bad guy drags the shot guy down into the tunnel.
He then injects the guy with a syringe full of liquid & rigs up a drip device that they use in hospitals.Ahem,i am assuming this guy is still alive.Both need some type of circulation to work.
The other guys running around in the wood are unbelievably cr*p at shooting.I would be suprised if they managed to shoot themselves.

The bad guy managed to revive the shot guy.According to the bad guy,he had been dead for several minutes.
The skull cleaning collection was all wrong.
The skull has to be boiled like them bones Quint was boiling in the film Jaws.
The brain would be reduced to dribbling ooze that would slither through the nasel passages.
How this guy is doing it,there would still be flesh & brain on the skull.It very smelly there.
