I actually was angry and annoyed watching this but then felt incredibly BAD for these kids. The girl who goes back to Denver with the horse made me happiest! They are all chasing this dream, yes when I was young ...I sang in my room, over did my make up and paraded around with Cindy Lauper and Madonna outfits, yet never wanted to move away from my family to chase a silly dream!!! The Megan kid is heartbreaking and SAD!! She now changed her name to some type of Kesha with a symbol. I pity that kid n her mom for not realizing that no offense she doesn't have talent and is overly annoying and quite obnoxious it comes off annoying! I really thought all the kids were adorable but hope they all go back home to lead normal lives! Sad but telling documentary! Parents trying to live vicariously through their kids!!! :-(

I wonder if being in this documentary may have hurt these children more because you see what their parents are like. It seems like the overly religious mother, the Russian mother, and Megan's mom would be handfuls on set. Could it be that when casting directors look further into these children (or if this is a part of their demo reel) it could be detrimental to their chances to see how their parents (or even the children themselves) behave?
