Just Sad Altogether...

Really, and I wasnt too much won over by the plight of that Megan kid and her mother. They seemed really desperate and way too well rehersed and had too much 'personality' for a documentary like this. It was even sadder to see kids like her who were well aware of the cameras and sort of came 'on' only when they were the focus. Exploitive might be the phrase I'm reaching for.

'When there's no more room in Hollywood, remakes shall walk the Earth.'

Yeah, that was a sad story: Three years out there and ... nothing. But they seemed so desperate and artificial. Now, by 2015, they're still out there, 8 years of trying without even an audition for a pilot. White trash trying to hit the big time.

In contrast, Shanna Grace (the girl who returns to the family farm with her mother after those three months) comes off as sweet and down to earth, her smiles seem natural, not affected. That funny guy, Joey Luthman, you can see how he can have a career on TV (and he has!), but Megan/Presley, she didn't make it and probably never will.
