Never Back Down 2:The Beatdown is not releasing Straight to dvd. According to this article/interview with Actor Scottie Epstein(Never Back Down 2)it explains that Sony Pictures is pushing this film for a threatrical film release. words of Scottie Epstein,"They are still in negotiations with distribution. Originally I think it was going to go straight to DVD but once the studio saw the finished product they realized it's way better than the first one so they are working on a theatrical release."

Don't worry I feel the same. But I will definitely go and see the movie when it comes out!!! Please let me know when someone knows the new Official release date when is reveal.

Well, too bad if they want to change there minds. The DVD is already on the internet, so anyone with any slight interest in watching it and with access to a computer could just download and watch it for free. These companies need to make up their mind on this stuff because once a DVD is made you can't really take it back. Someone will upload it and when or even if it does decide to come out in theaters it will tank, and tank hard. Anyone remember Soul Plane lol ??? Think I had that movie 2 years before it came out in Theaters.

no one who has seen this movie would have ever believed that the studio thought it was good enough to be in theaters. I know studio's are dumb and all but my god. I would never have believed this rumor after seeing the film.

1st one is amazing, I know not alot of people enjoyed it but I loved almost everything about it from the acting to the fight scenes. This one barely has competent actors.
