The cops didn't plant that gun on him you moron. It was Justin. Why the hell do you think the remaining 3 guys wanted to fight him at the end of the movie for??
Justin could have made a deal with that corrupt cop because he knew how racist he was and how much he hated Case, so he planted the gun on case (it was mentioned by police at the station that justin did it) and then he informed the cops about it.
Apart from the planted gun thing, there was something abit ridiculous and nonsensical about that scene of Case beating up corrupt/racist cops and the whole planting stuff.
