Dated Theme

Karen on the Bus has some admirable qualities. However, the theme of a woman finding herself, enjoying her sexuality, and becoming independent was done in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. In many countries we now take all this for granted. In West Europe and North America, the grandmothers and mothers of the present generation made Karen's journey. The actress who plays Karen realistically showed the transformation; she deserves some acknowledgement for that.
