You can be a Housewife and have a Life

Why not? I'm not married but if I were a housewife I don't see why I couldn't get a part-time job if I wanted to or a hobby that required me to leave the home and make friends outside of it. Her husband clearly loved her or the movie failed to show us why we should give up on their marriage. I found this film a bit slow and frankly I got bored. Also who moved out of their home without a job? She wasn't in danger just bored! This bit made it difficult for me to root for her lol meh

Right, she's a dimwit. Hilarious that her great fulfillment is working at a bookstore. Overactive ovaries make her resent getting a man's coat because he is so very lucky to be with her, while she considers herself lucky to obey commands nonstop for 40 hours per week for a lesser economic benefit

You say it well, The film message may be a good one but it was written as if she was not a great thinker. As she goes from one man straight to another proving she started out not knowing she really just wanted to be ALONE. She could have gotten a job and declared her independence while with either of the two guys.

She is the one whom seemed distant from people as she had no courage to sit the men down and say ether what she was looking for and also why she can't be with them.

This is why it was hard to root for her.
