why did I carry on watching?

Apart from the fact that the acting was awful, the story pathetic and the direction uninspired, I worked out who did it half an hour in. Despite all that, I continued to watch, though god knows why. It was all so implausible. Who on earth was Victor? Was that him at the end? What exactly happened over the abortion, cos they never really said. Why did he jump, losing a spouse is bad, but not usually kill yourself bad. All in all, an embarrassment to the British film industry
