I just found out myself. I was watching a YouTube video showing the "Where Are They Now" of everybody who was in Big Trouble In Little China, and during the part about Kurt Russell it mentioned this film. It actually says he wrote it, which looks to be incorrect looking at the IMDb page for EFNJ. Perhaps they meant Kurt wrote an un-made sequel of the same name?
Anyway, like most people I love EFNY, and I even enjoy EFLA, so I'm looking forward to seeing this. In fact I'm about to watch it right now.

Yeah, style and the research for the story was impecible. My only complaint is perhaps the cinematography and that I wish it was longer (perhaps less Jack Burton this time). Escape from Cleveland, will that ever be a thing?
