More fun than...

...a barrelful of tar zombies. I hope these guys get to remake this with a real budget, but definitely with the same actors. Alex Lucchesi is like a cross between Rip Torn and Ron Perlman. You have got to see the documentary on the DVD to believe how cheaply this was shot. But that doesn't matter, because it has good characters that engage, a sense of fun, some great Italian energy (concentrated mainly in the writing and acting, rather than gimmicks), and reminds me of a cross between John Carpenter (particularly Escape From New York), Mad Max, Day Of The Dead and any number of Italian and American zombie movies. The effects are predictably cheap, but these guys know how to tell a story and make engaging characters that you'll want to spend more time with.

This has a couple of big hurdles to cross:
a) People who think all of Uwe Boll's films stink. In this case, Boll made a smart bet.
n) The fact it's in Italian.

In bocca al lupo!

worth watching
hope they at least break even on this as there were some good moments...considering the budget the zombies are better than you'll see in films with ten times the amount of money behind it
p.s anyone who is put off that it's in italian is an idiot

So we're endorsing Uwe Boll's trash now?
People really are quick to forget... I suggest you go back and remember what he did to what could have been some of the greatest game-to-film adaptations of all time... if he wasn't a brainless tw*t with too much money.

This movie, and all movies where Boll name is involved, shouldn't be watched by anyone that have the courage to call themselves film buffs or connaisseurs of good cinema.

I don't care if he just put his name on the cover, I don't care if he's just an extra that dies 30 seconds into the movie... If he's got something to do with a movie... that movie is ruined.

But go ahead, keep feeding his ego... watch his cr*p... and the next time he butchers another beloved franchise remember to feel ashamed that you supported him.

Nonsense. The movie is genuinely funny, and way worth a shot.

This was good, but i felt it got a bit boring at places. As with most things, its not particularly original- the premise is good, and I agree that this is brilliant considering its budget and its the directers debut.

it was bad, but not terrible and it had its moments.

Like you, I wonder what it could have been with a bigger budget.

When there's no more room in hell, The dead will walk the earth...

I enjoyed this one. Alex Lucchesi was excellent as the two-fisted Igor.
