What a sweet character he was and with some of the best lines my favourite of which was: Pierre said it was a school of jerkoffs. And jerkettes, I added.

The headmaster had the best line though: a flagrant act of onanism!! Brilliant. This exemplifies the film's point; people do not talk about sex, even if they have to, or with their closest family members. Also in one of the final scenes Marie and her "sexual fulfilment" talk about sex, albeit it in an erotic way, and it seems to restore some lustre to their flagging relationship. It being good to talk about sex.

I might add that I watched the edited version of the film so any explicit moments were removed. I don't feel that this detracted from enjoying or understanding the film.
