No real tension.

I love the franchise and appreciate the effort they put into these movies, but they're just not very good. Poor voice acting, unlikeable characters, etc.

Plus there's never any real suspense or tension because we know Leon can't be harmed, they won't do it. So every time he's in danger something saves him at the last minute. The lickers jumped in and saved him 3 or 4 times, then a jet, then something else. Too much.

Plus, I hate the Plagus (sp?). I miss the old T-virus and the old zombies.

It was good.

Good talk.

Agreed, I felt like I was watching the CG male version of Alice from the live action movies. I was appalled when he had a licker on top of him and still killed it without a scratch. And then when the giant thing smacks him into a stone pillar and grabs him? That's when I just gave up. There was no tension in this film.

at least in the games you can get hurt.

And at least in movies, (any movie) you know the main hero will survive either way.

But this movie was so ridiculous. He was pretty much in "GOD" Mode. he was worse than Alice.
At least Alice in the movies gets hurt or at least gets beat up a little bit. In every movie she gets her butt kicked at Least ONCE.

Leon didn't even get really hurt. not even at the end. he gets thrown against a wall at the end but then stands up.

there was no tension, you were right
