and that bronies is DAMM good publicity

Don't Know her ask your parents or grandparents

reply

Is?

She died May 9, 2010

Source for this claim?

You sure you're not confusing her with Lena Hall, who is voicing a character and singing in an episode of season 5?

reply

My mind was on overdrive that day so I could have confused names And for every fan's enjoyment an article in New York Magazine's Nov 3 issue appeared about every ones favorite equine

It is on line to read at there site do a search had to go to the library since I saw this at my Physicians office and could not read the whole thing

And IF I was right You could not BUY publicity like that and I remember reading something about Tony nominations and a statement in a speech wevery fans fav expression

Friendship is Magic

and the New York Magazine thing IT'S REAL

reply

Do you remember the article's name?

Also just to confirm was it Hall or Horne?

It is on line to read at there site do a search

For what key words?

Edit: Also, I haven't paid for a New York Times subscription so I don't think I can view their articles, but a search for pages on the website mentioning ""pony" or "friendship" in the past month turned up nothing for me.

I also did a search on the site for articles mentioning "pony" "friendship", "lena hall" and "lena horne" and found nothing during November, except this article mentioning Lena Hall and the Tonys but not mentioning ponies: http://www.nytimes.com/2014/06/09/theater/theaterspecial/putting-on-a- show-at-the-tonys.html

reply

Search New York magazine site

Search on site My Little Pony Nov 3

And I stated I may have made a mistake

And as I stated if IT WAS true it is great publicity you can not buy

No I am not a Broniy but if asked my fav pony is Applejack

reply

I searched as you said and couldn't find anything.

Though after just searching "pony" I did find this.

How My Little Pony Became a Cult for Grown Men and Preteen Girls Alike

http://nymag.com/thecut/2014/11/understanding-the-cult-of-my-little-po ny.html

Very religious people say there's no such thing as coincidence, so perhaps it was providence that led me to tune in to the Tony Awards show in June and to watch Lena Hall accept her prize for Best Actress in Hedwig and the Angry Inch. She mounted the stage and with trembling fingers read names off a scrap of paper, thanking a battalion of friends, colleagues, relations. And then, gathering herself, she looked straight at the camera. “Friendship is magic,” she said, in a tone so neutral that an innocent viewer might be excused for imagining that this was some flaky-actress thing, a veiled shout-out to a Pilates instructor or comrades in a 12-step group.

I think this is the article you're referring to.

Here's the clip of her at the Tony Awards; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1Mh2FQxwsM

Also a clip where she talks afterward about how the show (among other things) has impacted her http://www.playbill.com/multimedia/video/lena-halls-two-big-influences -marlon-brando-and-my-little-pony-321954?r=n

I did a google search and found it easily

At any rate since it is fairly recent and nothing posted here about article thought fans might enjoy it

years ago the Magazine did a bit on transforming robots (in general)

yes these are the items I more or less mentioned

Did not know about Ms.Faust's Medusa project till I read said article

reply

I did a google search and found it easily

Than why didn't you ever try searching for it before? It would've been so much easier than all the searching I did since you read the article and remembered the details better.

reply

Cool news :)

reply

You mean Lena Hall, and she is not a Pegasister, she was just a guest star in season 5's episode 24, "The Mane Attraction."
Weird Al Yankovich is a celebrity brony who was a guest on the show, if that was the kind of thing you wanted.

reply

John DeLancie is the best celebrity voice, in my opinion, having grown up watching Star Trek Next Generation.

reply

While I have enjoyed the other Guest star voices, I also think Mr. de Lancie stands above the rest on the show. Now if only they had gotten Tom Baker, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, Christopher Eccleston, or David Tennant for Doctor Hooves....
