Dragons are Vikings

I'm jut going to say it, after seeing the Gauntlet of Fire it proved my theory of four years ago. The Dragon culture is inspired by that of the Huns, The Mongolian Hordes and for the most part, the Vikings, hell even there armor seems viking inspired.

Pony Culture was based on Ancient Greeks(Lauren Faust said once)

According to Big Jim, this is not the last we have seen of the Dragons, in fact there will be a couple more episodes(Ones with Spike) and more on the Dragons even..yes this was confirmed at the last panel..a Hearths Warming Dragons episode.

What would be interesting is if some dragons...fear change, fear the idea of being Equestrianized(Become pony like, or adopt Pony customs)and fight against it. Dragon Lord Ember may try to officially end the pillaging and create new relationships with Dragons.

Hhhmmmmmmm... I am not going to call that without more dragon homeland screen time(or a statement from the show staff), but I suppose it could have been their intent.

They kind of strike me as savages or barbarians now that you mention it.

The Huns chose there leader through strength not elections or lineage.
Atilla murdered co leader and brother bleda and no one opposed him. The dragon kingdom is very Hunic or Viking inspired,
Or even Germanic inspired
Which means they will resist Equestrianization.

So they're just going to forget that dragons don't really bother with ponies?

The Great Dragon Migration was pretty clear evidence that the dragon supermajority doesn't so much as give pony civilization a thought. The whole massive flock/swarm... whatever... just flew over and didn't even bother to glance down. One perhaps showed off a little... hardly evidence of aggression... but that was it.

The Red Dragon was quite restrained until Dash kicked him in the face. And let's face it, if a pony kicked you in the face for what seemed to be no reason, you'd be pretty pissed off about it... assuming you were still conscious after being kicked in the face by an iron-shod horse...

I'm fearing a very lazy retcon of every previous seasons' image of dragons.
