Season 5 chronology

Does the order of the episodes of the last season seem a bit off to anyone else? Early on we get the episode "Tanks For The Memories" where Rainbow Dash's pet turtle tank has to go into hibernation for the winter. Just a few episodes later, however, we get the episode "Do Princesses Dream Of Magic Sheep?" we in one scene we see Tank is back and quite awake. So...did the entire winter pass in between episodes?

Much later we get "Hearthbreakers" which is set during the fictional holiday Hearth's Warming Eve, which is the Equestrian version of Christmas, then immediately AFTER that we get "Scare Master", set during Nightmare Night, which is their version of Halloween. Also back in season 2 the first Nightmare Night episode, "Luna Eclipsed", happened several episodes before "Hearth's Warming Eve." So...was an entire year supposed to have passed in between "Hearthbreakers" and "Scare Master" where we never see what happened during that time?

Scare Master was leaked by Itunes weeks in advance and closer to October 31st. As to why the episode is officially later than Heathbreakers, I have no idea. The whole "Tanks for The Memories" and "Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep" time jump is just simply an oversight.

The episodes are aired according to the network schedule, so they don't make as much sense. As for the other moments, I think DHX just makes stories up as they go along without watching the Equestria's seasons closely. Here is how I look at the chronology for the show. A full year in the show takes up more than one season of episodes. Episodes may be out of order slightly, but they make up a full year in Equestria. So I guess you should look at it like this, year one, seasons 1-3 . year two, seasons 4-5, . year three, season 6-?. Just rearrange the odd episodes out according to the times of the year slightly to make them fit. I know that would mean some of season two is in season one, and vice versa, but those problem season two episodes don't have letters, so it works. This timeline is backed up by the show, as exactly one year has passed since the pilot, in Princess Twilight Sparkle. While one year has passed since Hearthbreakers, in A Hearth's Warming Tail. I hope this helps.
