Maybe they should try and up their game a little and use some more writers like Bob Mortimer for example because it's clear that they're struggling to come up with the goods on their own as they've pretty much done it all.
It's just recycled jokes from LB. Not to mention the whole 'fly on the wall in an airport' shows went out of fashion years ago.
Exactly HOW are the jokes recycled from Little Britain? This seems like such a generic response from people who can't be bothered to come up with a reason to say 'it isn't as good as their OTHER one'... 'their flagship one'.
And who cares if 'fly on the wall in an airport' shows went out of fashion when Jeremy Spake stopped being the funniest campest new thing sinced sliced pickles? What it actually means is, they aren't doing a Wayans Brothers where they have to make a spoof reference of every single film that comes out 6 months earlier, or in this case tv show. Older references are much fresher and nostalgic anyway, but this isn't really a spoof of those programmes, it's just a simple comical hypothesis of - 'what if these ridiculously funny characters actually worked in an airport?' That's ALL this show is when you break it down, and it does a damn fine job of providing the simple but hilarious laughs!
It's 2014 now, and I just watched this. Couldn't agree more. What's ironic is how patronizingly high-minded and overly-intellectual Lucas and Walliams are in real life when talking about their comedy, which is nothing more than race-baiting and toilet humour, 'ya get me, innit.
To hear them speak you'd think they're doing Monty Python, or Shakespeare.
