Did Jackson kill the creep at the bar?

Did he kill that guy at the bar and covered it up, I'm not 100% sure but I think he did, and that is why he dumped Munroe. He didn't want her to be with a murderer.

I was wondering the same thing. If he did kill him how ? Or was it just that he died of the earlier blow on the head. Not the best bit of editing.

I think he did kill him, that is why he broke it off with DC Munroe. He knew that there would be an investigation and she would find out and he wanted to protect her because he is and always been in love with her. How ever is the dad to new baby that he delivered???

I came onto the board to see if others could enlighten me about that bit, as I was confused too.

He was wrapping the guy up in the bar after the scuffle like he was wrapping a body for disposal. Then there was an indication that the girl didn't do the deed. But it was either an accident or the blow Brodie gave him to beat him off.

Brodie's been in some dicey situations, but disposing of a body? Wo!

The only thing that made me think he was a death and disposal job rather than just a severe scuffle with an injury was the way Brodie was so pained in having to put Munro off, right after he'd connected with her. Then he had to do an about face and dump her to protect her because he'd gotten into yet another bad situation that occurred after he had asked her out.

I too presumed he couldn't involve her as an officer in his latest mess--which appears to be the worst so far we've seen if the guy was dead and Brodie put him into the ocean or summat. So he took the high road and fell on his sword and gave her up for her own good.

Whew. Glad I wasn't the only one confused.

If you watch it again, just as the girl plunges the knife down and Jackson rolls the thug away, you will hear a slight crack, intimating that Jackson broke his neck.

I just looked at this several times in slow motion. It is confusing, but it goes like this:
Jackson is on the floor, trying to keep the other guy away, he can't even reach the other guys throat.
Samira comes with the knife from the back. Jackson yells "no" as he struggles.
There is a short out of focus shot showing the knife coming down on the back and it ends with a blurred hand (of Samira)
close on the back of Rhys, implying the knife was plunged into the back of Rhys.
This is also the moment the crack is heard, which I presume is the ripping of the cloths or rib cage when the knife hits the target.
The next shot shows brodie throwing the body to the right, and Samira is rather far back, as if she never even came close, but in the very first few frames of this scene, it's clear she stumbled/ jumped/moved/was pushed backwards, before moving in again. Without close watching, it looks as if Samira never reached the guy and didn't hit him with the knife.

In conclusion,
Brodie didn't really seem to be in a position to break the guys neck, the neck was too far away (to break it, in movies it's usually done by really wrapping the arm around the neck, but I'm no expert).
The knife did plunge into the back, but why it was out so easily afterwards and why the guy was immediately dead is a mystery.

For the rest of the story, this scenario is the most logical. Brodie is the good guy, he's not the killer, but he wants to help Samira to get on with her life. He disposes of the dead body (having also to end the rekindled relationship with Louise because of his illegal actions - he doesn't want to pull her into it). At the end we can see Samira and her mother leave the father/husband. So, he's the good-hearted guy, like in a previous episode where
( he provided fake passports for a security guard that took a child into her care illegally). Again, he did something illegal, but for a good cause.

I know this was a bit ago, but the answer is yes. You can hear a faint crack, indicating that Jackson broke the man's neck. He just barely escapes getting accidentally stabbed himself (he pushes the body off, and deflects the near fatal blow. He didn't want the girl to be racked with guilt if she killed the man, which is expounded on later when Jackson tells her she can live her life.)

Bam, said the lady.

Looking closely, there is no blood on the knife, Since Louise was watching the place, and who was in it, why was there no talk of it? With the fighting before hand the police would have been called in
Is this the way the series ends??????
