Davey's father

OK, I thought the film was pretty well done (and Tiger Eyes was one of my favorite books growing up), and mostly very well cast - Willa Holland made for an excellent Davey - but the actor playing Davey's father just doesn't work for me. He's too young and he's too insanely good looking. Yes, I know he's supposed to be young, he was 34 in the book, and I can buy a handsome guy. But this dude looks like a 28-year-old J. Crew model. He looked more like he could be her love interest than her father. That was really the one quibble I had with the film (other than them making Bitsy Gwen's sister instead of Adam's... no idea why they changed that).

The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those that speak it.

yeah I was thinking the exact same thing, I couldn't take the flashbacks with her dad seriously because the actor didn't fit the part... he looked like a hollywood model, not a dad working in a shop... these parts were taking me out of the movie... otherwise good movie
