Was bit boring and just pure gore

reply

Did you see the first one?

reply

First one?

reply

Well yeah... The Collection is a sequel to The Collector.

reply

Um no i didnt see that one lol

reply

LOL! That's so hilarious to be uninformed then provide your opinion on something! OMG TTYL!

You watched a sequel to a horror movie you've never seen and don't like how gory it is? Good Lord...

reply

Your so interesting....not.

reply

He cannot have a opinion because he miss out on the first one?

Wow hopefully you did not see Lord of the Rings then because the Hobbit should come first.Same as Star wars. And movies like Pulp Fiction are way above you because those would not make any sence....right?

/facepalm

reply

Not the same at all, here lemme hold your hand through this. It's more akin to going to the Two Towers board and saying 'movie was boring, a bit too much fantasy for me'. Or going to the Terminator 2 boards and whining about how there's too much action or sci-fi.

You're completely unaware of the series then want to complain about the well established core elements within it. You know, like GORE in a HORROR movie. What does pulp fiction have to do with anything, it's not a sequel, so what are you talking about? I never said they can't have an opinion either, I implied they shouldn't have an UNINFORMED opinion. You're in such a rush to defend them you didn't properly read my posts.

PS: Sense, not sence. Imdb spell checks for you, so there's no excuse anymore...

ive seen both the collector and the collection. i really liked both but collection felt a little rushed it probey needed another 10 or 20 miinutes

Rob Zombie is one of the greatest movie directors today

reply

i feel the same way about the movie,
the transition is not well polished, giving me a muddled mind that one scene is somehow linked to another and the plot falls abruptly into the ending without much rendering.

Losing all hope is freedom.

reply

So yea, im about to own you because you clearly think you are an an elite film critic, or just a huge fanboy, when the irony is, you have no *beep* clue what you are talking about. Just because xleahxwrightx didnt see The Collector it doesnt mean they cant have an opinion on The Collection which was a mediocre and predictable "horror" movie at best. For starters, the fact you defend this movie as much as you do just proves how *beep* it is, and one does not need to see The Collector to know that the Collection is a pretty crappy "horror" movie. The reason why i use "horror" in this context is because this movie is not scary at all, torture is not scary after the first couple ppl you see getting tortured because it just becomes mind numbing and repetitive, and me personally, i just laugh at it. Whatever happened to horror movies leaving things to the imagination instead of telling you what is "scary", again, why this movie fails and why you defend it so hard. This movie isnt even an hour and a half, the story couldve been so much better and not rushed, but unfortunately good horror directors/writers are so few and far between these days. Normally i dont post on here, but you were so condescending in your posts, i just had to show why you are *beep* retarded in your responses. Oh, also, in case your dumbass didnt notice, look at the posters for The Collector and The Collection and tell me whats wrong with that picture, if you are smart enough to figure it out, fanboy...

reply

Hahaha, you're funny. Telling me i'm condescending then calling me names like an angry child. Again, and this is the 2nd or 3rd time i've said this, I NEVER SAID THEY CAN'T HAVE AN OPINION ON IT. I said they shouldn't have an uninformed opinion. They're whining about things you KNOW are going to be in the movie, like gore in a horror movie. Would you go to the lord of the rings board and whine about how it has too many fantasy elements? No, you'd look like a buffoon. But for some reason you think it's OK to do to this movie, simply because you didn't like it. Grow up champ.

You didn't 'own me' or 'tell me' anything by the way, you just recounted your review of the movie and why you didn't like it. Nothing i've said has been refuted thus far. The rest of your ill written rant is your opinion on the current state of horror movies, which has nothing to do with anything. You're literally all over the place, I can't even respond properly.

Take your ADD medication before posting again please...

I'm sorry, this just made me really curious. What was "wrong with that picture"? Haha, sorry for asking (almost 7 months too late), it's just.. now I really need to know.

So yea, im not done with you because you just make it too easy to rip on your ignorant stupid ass, but to bash someone for spell check is just reaching to make fun of someone and makes you look even worse than you already made yourself look. Anyways, i am curious to know, and i realize the collector is angry because they *beep* up his house of traps throughout this horrible movie, but what makes this genius killer so scary when hes bringing out dogs and a fully automatic weapon, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!! I love when the protaginist gets desperate, sucks to suck bro, much like this movie, sucks to suck...

reply

please don't fight

reply

you didnt miss much as the 1st film was pretty crap and dull

reply

The first was better than ANY Saw film. Not saying much there but I liked the first one especially because I went into it never having heard of it and thinking it would be a Saw knock off. In a way it was, but it was still better, imo.

Hard to say if you liked the first you will like the second as they as very different in tone.

Not better than the first SAW movie who was a *beep* masterpiece in suspnse thriller but the first Collector was very good suspense aswell, but first SAW had som great mysticism over the whole movie and plot that I liked very much...but SAW 2 and the rest is pure crap for retarded kids, like this one The quick cash grabbing crap The collection.

~If the realistic details fails, the movie fails~

reply

Gotta laugh at that.

reply

I did the same thing. I didn't actually realise it was a sequel quite simply because it isn't mentioned anywhere, at all. Not in the description for the film, not on the cover of the film, not in the title of the film and no-where that I could see on its IMDB page (I didn't view the comments due to potential spoilers). Is that the viewers fault, or the people that make the film? I don't do serious background checks on every film I see and I am sure you don't. They clearly don't market this as a sequel.

Incidentally I watched the first one recently, totally by accident, I thought the cover looked familiar but read the description and that wasn't. Of course as soon as I saw Arkin it fell into place, but I would have enjoyed the pair of films much more had I seen them in the correct order.

reply

You're right... it is boring.

reply

Yeah, I agree with you. The movie was pretty cool until they had to end it. It just takes a fist fight boss battle to kill the collector? He's scary because he's superhuman through the whole story, then they just set him on fire and push him down an elevator shaft. He needed a more clever or more desperate death than that for the film's idea to remain frightening.

reply

He didn't die. Arkin 'collected' him in the end. Did you miss the scene in the Collector's home?

I actually prefer this to the first one by quite a long way. This one is worth seeing for the human lawnmower scene. Reminded me of Dead Alive/Braindead!!!
