Way better than I thought it would be.

It seems to get better each re-watch. My 3rd fav Wes. First of all, I love its warm summer outdoors appeal. All the actors including the kids are on their game. I love seeing Bruce Willis & Edward Norton out of their element acing it.
Frances is married to Joel Coen, there's a tie in for you. Personally, I'm reminded oddly enough of Tarantino during the cove dance & makeout sequence.

The musical choices throughout are bonus icing on the cake. Love Sam's canoeing intro, with that song.

Yep, I watched the trailer first and I had some serious doubts but I thought what the hell, I'll watch it. And I'm glad I did, this is a great film. I really liked it...

It's funny, charming and has a somewhat original story, though I can see some influences from other films in this. What I really liked the most is probably the camera work. It's like watching a photo album unfolding in real time, if that makes any sense. It really draws you into the movie. The cinematography in this film is totally absorbing.

MK is a terrific movie, I gotta give it an 8.3 out of 10.

It does remind of another film I saw recently called JoJo Rabbit. JJR also focuses on kids as the main characters. The kids also wear brown outfits in JJR but the reason for this is completely different than in MK. JJR is a nazi satire comedy. The kids are in the Hitler youth program and they all wear brown outfits. lol...

Stand By Me is another movie this reminded me of. Hard to say which one I liked the most but probably JJR. But it's very close between all 3.
