The 'monster'....the 'demon'. Stop exaggerating on this silly show!!!

An alligator is not a monster, it's not a demon, it's just an alligator. An alligator that has been caught on a lure, and is basically helpless against some people in a boat, equipped with high powered rifles.

This show is OK, but the exaggeration of danger is sickening. There is no danger, at least not from the alligators. The gators are just sitting ducks. It's not like these people are going Neanderthal and hopping into the water with a stone knife, and killing the gators in close combat.

These people do what they have to do for a living, have for a couple hundred years, and I have no problem with that. But there is no sport to it, no peril, no danger, so stop the exaggeration.

What's next, a show about so-called hunters who kill bears while they're sleeping in their dens?

I think MOUNTAIN MEN already had a show on killing bears sleeping in his den... all these shows have to exaggerate the danger.. because basically what is being done isn't... and really not that exciting or interesting....

First off, all fisherman and hunters I have met have exaggerate the facts. So all fishing shows and hunting shows will have some exaggeration to it. Some hunters and fisherman will exaggerate a lot. So don't expect them to stop doing it on TV or in real life.

Second, they are hunting alligators, not crawfish. There is still a danger to it (not only from alligators but from other stuff too). Lets not forget that alligators are not weak little animals like rabbits. They are strong animals that can injured (or kill) a person if you are not careful.

Third, I do not believe they are equipped with high powered rifles. Every episode I have seen so far, the alligator hunters are using .22 rifles of various kinds. I do not call a .22 a "high powered rifles".
