Great Ending!

I must admit that the ending of The Tribe was one of the best, if not the best, brutal ending I ever seen. I have read some comments and was surprised that some viewers didn't actually like the ending. Well, for such a movie it was obvious that the ending will be gruesome. I would personally be disappointed if the ending didn't top off all the sickness experienced during the movie. What do you people think? If you happen to know some other movies with similar endings, please recommend them to me.

You might try the 1965 British film THE HILL with Sean Connery (one of his very best roles).

It's about a military prison and all the brutality the inmates face at the mercy of sadistic guards.

The ending is a true shock, which left me tripping on it afterwards.

Yeah, that ending was out cold---I wasn't even expecting something that brutal (despite how brutal and unsparing the whole film was---which is typical of most European films I've seen,though.) and when it did happen, I was like, "Damn! WTF!? He actually did that s***? Whoa!" Even watching that scene hurt---it was that hard to watch. Good film,though, and the first truly deaf film I've seen (besides the 1975 cult horror film DEAFULA,that is.)

I kind of expect that kind of end, but I was expecting something related to the girl he was obsessed with too.

I just finished watching this on Netflix and the ending was indeed horrific. I have watched plenty of movies with very graphic and disturbing scenes, however, this particular scene is a shocker even for me. Especially, when the the entire movie is so quiet, yet the sounds made during this scene are so clear and distinct. Job well done.
