Right after the guy who wanted to rape Amanda knocks Eli out, he wakes and sees Amanda hiding behind a tree, afterward he thinks he sees her again but it happens to be a corpse. Was that Kate's corpse? If not, whose was it?

It didn't make much sense, but I agree that the corpse behind the tree is Amanda and the corpse hanging from the tree with Waylon is also Amanda. I'm guessing the filmmakers edited out an in-between scene where Waylon cuts down Amanda's corpse from the tree and then hangs himself with it.
