well that was bad.

I felt like the makers and actors didn't really want to make this movie.

pure garbage.

I agree this movie was a stupid idea, it should have been another story, this ain't worthy of the Children of the Corn film series.

reply

I actually had some hope for this since it was being helmed as one of the best sequels in the series, but honestly I think I enjoyed alot of the older movies more eventhough those were pretty terrible. I mean this one was pretty boring for the most part and I wish there was atleast one scene were a sickle was being used on somebody. A random Decap would have been nice. Dimension should definitly let this trilogy die already.

i haven't seen it yet but surley it can't be worse than part 7? that was terrible

Apparently using the brakes on a car is hard. Especially when there's cars dropping off a trailer in front of you.

I thought it was the best one since part 3...but that's not saying much.

The made for tv remake was slightly better then this, but not by much.

This series is just bad, how can you go so wrong with such a good idea?

I agree. As bad as that tv remake was it was still more fun to watch than this and atleast the kids were killing people. I can understand why they went in a different direction and make it more of a psychological horror, but unless it's done right it just can't work.

Damn this was terrible. I just watched it. There was hardly any kids in it or corn. Plus the main kid who has them trapped you never see. I don't get it why did they have him locked up? Was the preacher in league with the children of the corn or the mother or both. This was also pretty boring I mean a couple trapped in a crappy little house by a psychokinetic child or whatever and it was just boring and cheap looking. I had such high hopes for this. I heard it was the best sequel so I was excited to see it and god it was bad so bad lol and he who walks behind the rows seemed badly done in this. I hope if they do make another it's different but it has to be a big budget not another crappy looking amateur thing like this

"a father can't murder his own children that would be in bad taste"

I was hoping the people making this would think "wow most of these films suck so let's try really hard and make something awesome!". However, this wasn't the case.

reply

It was pure crap. Just Dimension milking the title again. How can you have a COTC sequel and not have it take place in Nebraska, with no corn and hardly any children? Lame indeed.

I hated the SyFi channel rehash (it wasn't a remake; it was a different take on the same source material - it just sucked) that one at least attempted to do the story more justice (although it failed miserably).

Why is it that none of the sequels except for part 2 (and to an extent 3 and 6) actually follow the storyline?? Such poor film-making. However, look what Dimension's done to Hellraiser - same sort of thing. It would be nice if they made one final, ultimate sequel that encorporated the stories or elements from all of the entries in the series and finally tied up all the loose ends and maybe showed the origin of He Who Walks Behind The Rows. Maybe bring back Burt & Vicky, Job & Sara, tell what happened to them, etc.

Actually, the SyFy one was the closest to the ACTUAL story. The original movie was really nothing like Stephen King's short story. So really, it wasn't a remake, it should have been the original and the 80s version was a reimiging.

I actually liked Genesis, but it didn't make much sense.

The SyFy one was closest to the story, I'll give it that - HOWEVER, they took so many liberties with their own "additions" and the production value was so poor it wound up being utter crap. Donald Borchers shouldn't have been allowed back near it. That's what I like the 1980s original (first film in a series is always the original, just the way it goes) because they knew what to add and what to cut and how to change it and expand it in order for it to be a good theatrical film experience. The short story by itself doesn't transfer well.
