What I liked, this was not your stereotypical mob flick, the same stuff you have seen repeatedly in mob movies. The characters were more real, not fluffed up Hollywood organized crime types, a bit more believable and down to earth, even the locations, actually filmed scenes on NY streets. Again adding to the realism too was the four buddies, who are low level loser type thugs, the made mafia guy, Albania thugs in the bar and random bookies in this film, the way they acted, dressed and interacted was more down to earth and realistic than over glamorized characters in other films of this type. I do not know how this real type of portrayal will translate to a general audience, but to me growing up in NYC it was realistic and more believable, a sort of familiarity. The main character Antoni one day in his flashback narrating getting ready to go out on a Saturday night, his family downstairs staring like zombies at the TV while he's yelling from the top steps, PRICELESS, I couldn't stop laughing that whole scene, his mom yelling at him, his nieces and parents watching some demented horror movie with a demon face on the television had me on the floor. That is what made this movie for me, how the characters looked and acted the scenery and what was going on in the background too, had a realistic feel to it.

This movie is full of random scenes that do not have much to do with the story line, but still keep you interested and laughing during the film, 4 friends goofing around joking and saying funny things, that alone made this movie worthwhile for me. What I disliked was how some scenes didn't translate well, I guess this is what happens in a true indie film with budget constraints, it's not going to be perfect and it will have story line and scene flaws and seem fragmented in certain segments, this didn’t throw the movie off the rails though.

In the end, the shortfalls in this movie surprisingly did not turn me off, I was able to easily watch the film in its entirety without once wanting to forward through parts. I was always wondering what these guys would randomly do next, or what new character would pop up or what would happen and the movie totally lived up to this, kept me entertained. In the end, this movie was entertaining in a very surprisingly unique way, was not structured like your everyday movie, and definitely holds its own. This is a good movie to watch if you are currently bored with the same old movies produced today and want to experience something uniquely different.
