Great Plot - Weak Actors

Many times you see great actors in crappy movies, this time I think you had a decent movie somewhat ruined by mediocre actors. In this case, Rupert Graves(Mark Bretherick) and Amy Beth Hayes(Sally Thorne).

I like Rupert Graves, but let's face it, he's only good for playing the role of an a$$hole and that's what failed him in this movie. His wife and daughter had just died and not once did we see him grieve over the deaths of his only family. He was great at being the persistent a$$hole and my favorite scene was when he challenges the cop to charge him.

With Amy Beth Hayes, I thought he role was weak and the actress was even weaker. She cheats on her husband, the family of her supposed lover are dead and she decides to go pay him a visit. OK, fair enough. But the jump she made from friend of the bereaved to sleuth was too quick and her activities after that made no sense. Granted she was following the script, but she seemed so out of place in that role. Truthfully, she was the weakest cast. Even the arrogant criminologist was too good at being bad.
