So So

An average slow moving, "who done it", with a "when was it done" thrown in to give the movie a mysterious feel.

Danny Glover's acting was forced and at times overdone. The same applies to the rest of the cast. I got the feeling that not many takes were done on the scenes, almost as if the director was in a hurry to finish the film.

I don't think I've ever had the occasion to watch such a slow moving movie that felt rushed at the same time. That being said, it was watchable. Like a long episode of "The Twilight Zone" watchable.

Strange. The reviews are calling it a masterpiece lol. Must be fakers.

Spot on review.

The blabbering by Glover for 30% of movie could have been better presented.

I have no idea where all the 'armchair' reviewers come from on the IMDB, but it never fails to amaze me how many people can take something interesting and hopeful and make it sound like crap. Maybe it's all the new users that have signed up in the last 5 years.

This movie was very good, completely original, the acting was fine, with good performances by Glover, Greenwood, Calis, and the rest of the supporting cast. It also includes the subject of synchronicity which doesn't come around very often in films.

But what do I know? I have only seen and rated 2,000 titles since 2008.

Cannot agree with you more DrProfessor...I thoroughly enjoyed!

reply

I agree with you. I liked this movie, a lot and I think that the actors were pretty good. I don't understand the bad reviews saying that it's a boring movie. I found it very touching and interesting.

reply

I thought that the film was outstanding .. interesting, exciting, and thought provoking .. i've had two experiences with synchronicity in my lifetime, so i know that things like that exist..

I agree. This was some very creative story telling based upon a juxtaposition of hard physics and metaphysics.

reply

I agree. I watched it twice in one month I like it so much.

reply

Agree, although I gave it a bit of a higher rating.

Glover looked SO tired in every scene. And, I had to turn up the volume, due to his 'whisper' delivery of dialogue.

I liked the 'connections' and the few 'distractors' thrown in.

I thought the little girl was the best actor in the film.

And, it felt like a made-for-TV movie, in style & cinematography, which is okay because I like good made-for-TV movies :)

I have been sitting here wondering what is wrong with my speakers because I can't hear anything and the last movie I watched I could hear loud and clear.

Good points about weird contrast in pacing at times in the film. Overall though, I still enjoyed it as a film even if I am biased (I like the mysterious, sci-fi stuff a lot). True, some of the writing was cliched (ie: Manhattan Project remorse) but it was still an engaging film for me. It is more of a good "genre" film and probably has a good targeted appeal in my opinion. I thought the ending (no spoiler) was a pretty cool full circle thing. As a funny aside, this is the second film in like a few days (the other being "Mine Games") I've seen which dealt with the ouroboros symbol after never having heard of it before, haha.

If anything, Bruce Greenwood's performance felt a bit, I don't know, pedestrian I guess. He was one of the producers though if I saw correctly, so maybe that explains it somewhat. But I totally agree with the poster above that the little girl was probably the standout in the film. I hope she goes on to have a good film career should she choose. Kid actors can be hit or miss and she was pretty great.

I enjoyed the movie and thought the acting was fine. Actually after seeing the IMDb rating I almost didn't watch it but I'm glad I did. Pleasantly surprised.

I liked the film. I had never heard about it and just found it on demand. It didn’t blow me away or anything, but I found it entertaining.
