What are the chances of a 2nd season?
I'm pretty sure the ratings haven't been too good.

With the ratings being the weakest of the channels lineup I would say 0% though it did get some money from the california tax credit lottery and though its a different channel mtv has given shows that also won longer season orders.
shareYeah the rating aren't that good, even though it is better than some of the other shows that are on coughTSLOATcough. Hate when shows end with a cliffhanger and we don't even get to find out what happens next.

shareit freaking deserves a 2nd season -- and i'm not scare to say that show The Secret Life of the American Teenager SUCKS !! Jane by Design is way better show also Jane by design has a 7.2 rating on the IMDB and The Secret Life of the American Teenager has 4.9 rating -- I don't get why ppl want to watch The Secret Life of the American Teenager -- bc its characters and writing is ALL ove the *beep* place. ABCFamily are fools if they let Jane by Design go, it has a lot more potential than a bunch of high-school girls getting pregnant and w/diff guys each week. JBD has more stories to tell w/a terrific cast - NO this show is so not done!

It better get renewed. It needs to. Like I fell in love with it and I want it to return. And we need a show like this. A show where it's not about people banging one another and getting knocked up all the time.

Jane By Design is the network's lowest rated show, however, not by much. Even though it wasn't exactly a hit, ABC Family ordered additional episodes which they wouldn't have done if they weren't happy with the ratings. The show also went up a bit towards the end and it is fairly cheap to produce.
None of the new shows this year can really be considered hits on ABC Family. Bunheads just fell to a season low and Babby Daddy started out good but also hasn't really found an audience just yet. I guess we will see ....

Here's hoping they don't get cancel every show that doesn't skyrocket. Nice, little shows with solid fans.
