Yes thanks... the Siono film that I had in mind was Noriko's Dinner table that I just read is often considered similar to Visitor Q
shareNoriko's Dinner Table is very good, but not really like Visitor Q imho.
NDT is more about this girl who gets involved with these people who become surrogate family members to other people.
It does talk about the dysfunctional family unit but it nowhere near as extreme as Visitor Q.

It was only that I just read someone feeling that NDT is similar to Visitor Q
Personally I thought NDT was somehow similar to Synecdoche New York, and better
