So becoming impregnated...

... instantly transforms you into a clumsy idiot?

Finally, a reply!

Well, the human body does go through changes during a pregnancy. I hate to use the word "hormones" because to some, that is synonymous with "hysterical", but, let's call them "electrolytes" do start to either wax or wane, depending on what their respective responsibilities are. So, an individual might get bloated, or nauseous, or extremely tired, or wonder what the hell is going on with their body, or not be able to sleep, which would make them possibly forgetful, or "clumsy", etc. Or, all or none of the aforementioned.

They also, might become emotional and Momo was not used to or into emotional displays. So, if she found herself becoming emotional, it might tick her off, confuse her, or both. Add a high stress job, being a perfectionist, and ambivalence about the pregnancy, and it wouldn't have surprised me if she had tumbled down the stairs head first while trying to remove the toilet paper from her shoe.

There is no one set experience for pregnancy - some women don't gain an ounce more than the baby and the fluid surrounding it, and some gain 80+. Some are nauseous throughout the entire pregnancy and some never experience even morning sickness. Some breeze through as if not a thing has changed, and others can't seem to get dressed without bursting into tears. And, every variation and combination in between.

I could go on, but hopefully, you get the picture.
