mad max thunderdome actor in auction hunters?

is it just me or has anyone else noticed that the oft seen storage locker auctioneer looks a lot like the actor that played dr. dealgood in "mad max- beyond thunderdome" (started the fight in the dome and spun the wheel of destiny). same build, voice and slicked back hair but the kicker is his tag line "looking time is over, buyin' time is here"; it can not be an accident that the line in mad max is "talking time is over, dyin' time is here". either this is the same guy or he has been told that he looks like the actor and has adopted this tagline in response- put a hump on him and you have dr. dealgood. maybe he relocated to movieland to pursue a career and washed out, settling for this vocation. have a look at the dome scene in the movie and then watch auction hunters- see if you agree.

Tell ya what I am watching the Disco and Dice episode right now and the auctioneer looks and sounds an awful lot like Brad Sherwood.

Yes, the resemblance is there, however the guy in Thunderdome was older when it was filmed so that auctioneer is clearly too young to be the actor. IMDB has his birthdate listed as June of 1935 so he'd be going on 76 years old by now. I think you're right in the guess that the auctioneer has been told he resembles him & trying to cash in on it even just a little.
