Auction Hunters Live?....Worst Idea Ever!!!!

Whoever dreamed up this train wreck of a concept should definitely be fired!
There wasn't even a hint of REALITY in this episode, so what was the point?

The auction wasn't real. If these were random storage containers then there would be no way multiple bidders would value them so high ($3000 - $5000 was ridiculous). There were no cues from the outside that would justify such high prices, especially since plain cardboard and moving blankets obscured almost everything. Obviously, the producers either looked through ahead of time, or more likely they actually planted everything themselves. After all, it was so unrealistic to find a storage unit where EVERYTHING was collectible, yet diverse enough to include all the experts.

Why were there multiple storage containers anyway? They actually kept bidding on the 4th unit after they already bought the 3rd. If the point was to show them going through the storage container, then what was the plan if they had bought 2 of them? They didn't even have time for one.

That being said, the aspect of selling to the experts was just as impractical. There is no way that professional people would so recklessly spend there money on stuff without having sufficient TIME to inspect everything. How convenient was it that they just happened to pull out a gem at the last minute? What's more, why did the gun collector first say the gun was worth up to $2000, but then offer them $6000? A producer probably signaled to him that $2000 wasn't enough to sufficiently save their behinds.

Finally, the high pressure of a live event really brought out the douchebag in Allen Haff. If these guys weren't already on TV, there would be no way they'd get a green light based on this trash!

The B.S. that this show continues to spout is outrageous!

That was 100% worse than anything I could have imagined.

I gave these guys a little credit and figured they'd do a show where they actually go buy a real unit, show that its just junk (as all units are) and then say "well, this time was a bust" see our show is real, ... but I guess the producers of the show have no intentions of even pretending their show is somewhat real. lol They have no shame.
