If the talking had been substantive, no problem, but it wasn't. Just self-indulgent blather from a self-indulgent writer. Only good thing was the gorgeous scenery, which I live near. Otherwise, just another independent failure and waste of talent.
shareIt's a mumblecore movie. They improvised most of their lines, so they really couldn't be that substantial. If you don't like mumblecore, you just can't like it.
Saying it's another "independent failure" kind of casts a bad shadow on indies...I don't mind mumblecore, but I like to think it's a subgenre of indie that's also separate. I really hope mumblecore doesn't put people off indies in general, because they're really not a good representation of what's out there in the independent genre.
