Rosemarie Dewitt deserves an Oscar nomination...

I thought she was terrific in this. The three leads all were, but she stood out for me. Sadly I'm sure she'll be overlooked for this film like she was for Rachel Getting Married, which was another film she deserved a nomination for. I'm glad Rachel Weisz backed out at the last minute and she stepped in for her. Nothing against Rachel Weisz but I prefer Rosemarie.

I agree. She deserved one for RGM too.

well i dont like her at all. obviously rachel weisz would have been tones better.

Why don't you like her at all? I don't think there's anything wrong with her. She's very talented.

She may manage to score a Supporting Actress nomination for Promised Land, so that's something at least.

I liked her...but I didn't think this was Oscar-worthy. Somebody else could've played her role, but that's just my opinion.

I liked her too, but it's not a punch-you-in-the-face performance that would get a nomination. "Rachel" provided a better setting for giving a performance like that. The actors in "Sister" wouldn't have stood a chance because they weren't asked to do anything spectacular.

The instrument has yet to be invented that can measure my indifference to that remark.

Rosemarie Dewitt hasn't hooked me yet as an actress. She was good in this, I could see a nomination but not a win.

She has that way of smiling for no reason, it is just her face. Or the way she expresses thoughts. I have seen it in a few movies, so it isn't a specific character. As an actress she should lose herself in the character, more.

She got on my nerves in RGM, but I liked her better in this.

She has a knack for being in films with ambiguous or strange endings.

I agree, she's an amazing actress. I haven't seen this movie yet but I'm considering it because I loved her so much in Rachel Getting Married. It blows my mind that she wasn't nominated for it.

Yes, she should have two nominations to date - Best Supporting Actress for Rachel Getting Married and Best Actress for Your Sister’s Sister. A fine actress, and I hope she has a comparable role soon which gets her the attention she deserves.
