This guy was a real prize. Is this the kind of guy that women like nowadays? He was unemployed, dopey and childish. When I saw him trash her bike, I didn't believe it. I'm in my sixties, and in my whole life I've never only lasted 10 seconds. At the end of the movie, I wondered how lucky she would think she is after the first time they had sex.
Too much, too soon, too long, too strong, too many, to fix.
Yeah, I sort of agree. I wasn't very impressed with the actor who played him either. This was an annoying film. Even the Emily Blunt character was really annoying.
I believe he is stunted and in a bad place because of his grieving/depression over his brother. Iris knew him before and also knows him very well. He seemed very thoughtful and kind. I don't believe that he is actually a loser.
Just because he came early one time, does not mean he comes early every time. Who knows, maybe he hadnt had sex since his brother died and thats why he was so quick. Also, when you really love someone, like he and Iris clearly did, sex is good no matter what.. and if he comes fast again, wait a minute and go again!
I found him to be quite charming. He was realistic and flawed, but quick witted and seemed to have his heart in the right place. He was conflicted about loving his dead brother's girl, as he should be, and unable to act on his feelings for a long time as a result of that guilt. He was able to look past the sperm-stealing and decided to be involved in the potential-child's life, while choosing to forgive rather than hold a grudge.
I didnt find it immature or childish at all when he trashed the bike. He was taking all of his frustration - over his dead brother, over his love for Iris, his mistake in sleeping with her sister and potentially having a baby - out on the last thing that let him down. The bike breaking down was the final straw in his mental stability, for just a weak moment.
Overall, I loved the film! - - Liv never let me go, never let me go
When I'm drunk I never even finish. It just doesn't happen. I don't even have to think about it. I'm surprised at any guy that lasts that long. You'd think they'd be focused enough and try their best to regulate themselves.
