Non-linear storytelling - good or bad?

Personally I never understood why they used it, and found it unnecessary and confusing during the wood cabin scene. At least the way they interchanged between past and present so often.

Do you people think it added more than it confused? If so, how?

reply

I did think the wood cabin scene was very confusing but usually it doesn't bother me

I am who you once thought of becoming but realised it wasn't all that it was cranked up to be

reply

I didn't clue in to what was going on until fairly late in the scene - but I thought it was cool.

Non linear story telling doesn't bother me, the boondock saints 1 and 2 used it to perfection

It depends on how it's used. Here it made things confusing until you realized what they were doing by using it. All in all, it wasn't' a bad use here. But I thought it was unnecessary.

I don't trust people who don't like pets and I don't trust people who pets don't like.
