For the people that hate this movie only here is a question for you

What do you think that they should have done with this movie the would have made you like it otherwise and why?

I like this movie but too many of the songs sound off to me as a lifelong Four Season lover. Then I listened to the actual Jersey Boys soundtrack and it helped me understand better. I've come to the conclusion that several factors contributed to this "off" sound.

Clint Eastwood had the actors singing live which is obviously not conducive for optimal sound quality.

Some of the tracks from soundtrack were cut 10 years ago when the singers were younger and had better range.

Franki Valli's voice is so special, so unique yet even he lost some of his range as he aged. Obviously John Loyd Young has lost some of his range as he's aged as well. he is currently 40.

I think Eastwood should have picked younger actors to better carry those iconic tunes.

Having said all of that, I still like the story and the movie. I'm still compelled to watch it when it comes on cable.

Yes, too many of the songs sound "off." I'm not the only one who noticed that the guy who played Tommy (Vincent Piazza) sounded great when he sang in the jail cell and could've been a more satisfying choice to play Frankie.

It's also disappointing that the story wasn't as edgy as it could've been, since some real aspects of Frankie's life were omitted.

Mag, Darling, you're being a bore.

There is a huge difference in hitting the falsetto for a couple of lines and being able to carry it through multiple songs without straining/damaging the vocal cords.
