Sound Effect Theory

I was thinking about what might have made the "teeth grinding" sound effect in the game, because I've heard grinding teeth and they don't sound quite like that. It sounds close enough to pass, but I think I know what really might have made the sound. I was thinking to myself that the sound reminded me of something, and then it hit me...when I was a kid, I never had the patience to suck on a hard candy until it disappeared. I always ended up chewing it up, and that was what the sound reminded me of. How much do you want to bet that someone recorded himself grinding a piece of hard candy between his teeth?
