Was the nudity and the f-word necessary?

I am not trying to be a prude or anything, but it is just annoying to me (in most cases) to see stuff like that in scripted shows. If the writers know they can't say/show stuff like that then why put it in? Why couldn't Dallas being wearing sexy lingerie? Why couldn't Ryan just say "banging" or "screwing"? None of the impact or humor of the scenes would have been taken away, but it wouldn't look/sound so awkward.

Agreed. That was totally pointless. Plus that's not quite the type of humour of the show, so what was the point??

reply

I agree, it reeks of trying too hard to be edgy and defiant.

It was a dream/nightmare. There was no nudity, as it was blurred out. They were having fun, pushing boundaries for the final show. Calm down!

They were cancelled, were they going to suffer the punishment of being cancelled again?

when did this show use the F-word?

reply

In the series finale towards the beginning when Lisa's family was in her bedroom.

It's UNBELIEVABLE how puritanical the world is in this day and age!

In England the scene with a nude Dallas perched on George's lap was cut from pre-9.00pm repeats - even though the image was blurred out of all recognition!

What planet are Channel 4 inhabiting these days?
