I wouldn't encourage her to do so because that could potentially ruin her life, but if I was a good lawyer and she did kill her parents, I would fight tooth and nail to make the case that her parents drove her to temporary insanity and therefore she should not be executed or spend any time in prison.

So would I. They’re terrible and the fact that she never calls them out on it as well as the fact that this show is 3 seasons in and they haven't any sort of character growth towards realizing what they’re doing annoys me to the point that I just skip their scenes together now.

It's supposed to be an exaggeration/carciture of how some families are. My family was like hers but they didn't admit that they favored my older sister the way her family does. They just gave her everything and let her do whatever she wanted while I had all kinds of rules. I got substantially better grades and they always called me stupid and let her call me stupid. She was running around to bars in high school, sleeping with her boyfriend in the house and yet I was considered the bad kid. It also looks like she was snorting coke, but I don't have as much proof. I just come to find out that some people she hung out with were snorting coke.
