Stop Everything! We need the Camera!

When Ginny is frightened by the stalker outside the kitchen earlier in the film, why would Matt stop to grab the camera, before giving chase outside?

Why would Ginny even bother filming herself having a bath?

Why would they film themselves in bed every night especially after Ginny had said earlier, she didn't want to be filmed in bed ?

If they were really video-diarying, why would Matt get upset when Ginny put something on the camera too, as she did several times? They only had one camera.

The piece de resistance comes whilst Ginny is being kidnapped and Matt attempts some sort of lame rescue, Ginny sends him off to get the video camera (as you do during these sort of incidents), which is just what he does. LOL! Truly ridiculous!🐭
