I think if the ending was just a plain ol bigfoot corpse it wouldn't have let Drybeck's character act in the creepy way he did, I believe his character solidified the film, if he just had a corpse he would be calm collected & say yep there it is film it up. I think he was scared as heck out of the entire situation that's why he wanted the money to get the f'k outta there!

good point, i guess in these types of films it has to remain ambiguous at the end, otherwise it become fiction.
