That appears to be the case. But I'm not quite figuring out the way things work between Demons, Humans, and Sasquatch. Bigfoot, being a mostly mortal creature, can be stopped by an electric fence, although they appear smart enough to easily disable it with a tree. Demons should not be bothered at all by electricity. And, of course, a nine-feet demon with goat legs could just step or jump over a four-foot fence. Plus, they too know about knocking down trees.
So, the fence ultimately proved useless against both types of critters. Yet, Drybeck apparently had been using it for years to hold them back.
In any case, why is this really the first serious case of Demon attack on humans? Demons can't be stopped with shotguns, electricity or Sasquatch. So why aren't there constant attacks on humanity in that area?

Maybe they were. Just before the girl got dragged away we saw a hairy half-body being dragged across the shot. Maybe the Demon just whacked a Sasquatch.

Nope, that was Robyn's lower part - we only get to see her top part falling into frame and the legs that's being dragged is wearing pants - so not a Sasquatch.

Because there's not any 'humanity' in the area other than occasional excursions by the guide and his bud. I thought the whole point of it was that the demons/spirits were breaking through worse than they had been.
