The View doesn't pretend to be a news show...The View is simply a show that makes sure you know the various points of view on whatever subject or topic that is currently being talking about and/or is popular with viewers, so it does in fact discuss important news whether it be politics or celebrities...
Meghan seems to be the one who enjoys yelling her thoughts out there...The Talk is more of a fluff show...
