I watched The Talk when they showed Sara's speech (didn't see the award show though) and I just scratched my head when she said that "The Talk" was born from an idea that she had while in the bathtub or something to that effect (can't remember what she said verbatim) but I had to laugh nonetheless...looks like Barbara Walters had the same revelation that Sara had only hers was 20 years ago 😨

Just thought it was weird...I mean Sara makes it sound like she invented the wheel or something...

I think you're talking about the People's Choice Award. I don't think any of the hosts attended the Daytime Emmys. Although The Talk strayed from the mommy/family topics, they've never tried to address the same topics or issues as The View. The only things the shows have in common are five women sitting around a table talking and last time I checked BW doesn't own the rights to that. Like you said, it's not like inventing the wheel or anything...

Edit: I put it in Google and saw that all the hosts were there. My mistake. Sara told the same tub story at the PC Awards.

fab4_gal: I think Sara is a producer of the show and in fact was an originator of "The Talk". I could be wrong but I seem to remember hearing that and being quite impresses with her involvement.

reply

Sara's executive producer.
