Really good movie.

When I saw it was found footage I thought it was going to be a scary movie, then early in the movie I thought it would be a *beep* found footage film because it looked to well shot and the effects were obvious but then I saw it was more of a comedy I really started to like it. This is the kind of the movie that gets better as it goes along.

I like the little foreshadowing when they go after the bridge troll. Hans uses three sheep and one gets killed, the other two are led away to safety but is never shown what happens to them afterward.

I thought the it would be explain that the reason that Trolls go after Christians is that Christians hunted them in the past and they sense them as danger. But from reading other posts I guess it's just part of Norwegian folklore. That could be just something humans can't really explain like how salmon go to breed in the place they were born (IDK if it has been figured out yet).

I thought Thomas was turning into a troll, the truth behind him being sick really surprised me. I have a couple of conclusions on how the footage got released. One Hans released it after the kids went missing. Two Thomas was able to escape by hitching a ride on one of the trucks but died later of his rabies after submitting the film. Three and probably the most likely Thomas was able to signal the trucks to stop and with the truckers help drive off Finn and his men. The thing about Thomas and his friends being missing is the studio copying The Blair Witch Project marketing to make more money. So in universe everyone is alright with the exception of Kalle. Throughout the film Finn has been shown to be sort of inept. He leaves the false bear tracks wrong, he can't get the right type of bears as scapegoats, and when he was challenged by Thomas when the press was there he just left.

Also the TSS is not shown as being all that powerful either, they couldn't stop the underground tunnels from being in the troll territory in the 70s, they couldn't stop the film from being released. The way Finn and the TSS was portrayed they're not a sinister government body that eliminates people to keep the truth. Also Hans may have been jaded but he wasn't heartless. He cared about the kids and helpless bystanders and protected them, if TSS was that dangerous I don't think he would have allowed him to film him or left them to their mercy.

The world is quiet here.

Hi, a bit input:

- The sheep: The entire bridge scene is a hilarious nod to the Norwegian fairytale Three Billy Goats Gruff.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_Billy_Goats_Gruff

- The entire troll thing is a relic from the pre-Christian Viking area. This old Norse tradition has continued to live as legends about the Underworld up to this day. Some of today's Christmas traditions is based on this. And - it has always been some kind of a a religion competition.

This is the reason the question about troll smelling Muslims was so hilarious - it so totally off the core of the traditional competition between the old Norse legends and the Christianity.

Among the Norse gods were the Jotner = the large troll appearing towards the end of the film.

- The release of the found footage is just not explained in the film, anything goes.

For the heart life is simple. It beats as long as it can.
