Do you think it'll be very similar to Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)?

I think that would be neat if it was. It seems like it will be. It was originally supposed to be a sequel to the original, but Henkel wrote it was a different franchise. I think it's neat how Marilyn Burns will be in it.

It seems as if it'll feel the same, but it will have that bad-boy city feel to it rather than the country, redneck feel to it.

I think it may be a lot like it. Check out this review I found:

This was intended to be a reboot of TEXAS CHAINSAW. I remember when Kim Henkel first announced it. When Twisted Pictures suddenly announced TCM 3-D, I assumed Kim's new film would be scrapped, but it looks like he rewrote it into an original work.

I went into this movie with my mind set on it being ridiculously cheesy and extremely b-rated. (Although I must add I love some of those b-rated horrors) and I was on the edge of my seat throughout a good portion of it. Rooting for poor Sissy but also wanting to see & learn more of the clearly dysfunctional family unit/restaurant staff....lol I would most definitely rate this a 7 and recommend for a dark and creepy night. Just goes to show you not all of the psychos are from the hills :) And yes there are several similar scenes to TCM especially towards the ending. But I wont spoil it for ya. Happy scares ;)
