So are they really going anti-Trump in the new season?

I started watching this show last month on Amazon and was enjoying the story but now I read that the writers are introducing references to Trump in the new season.

Damn it, why does EVERYTHING these days have to be about current politics?!? Can't they just write a show and leave their personal political opinions out of it?

Sick of this shit.

nope nothing like that in the series or any idiot in power

Thank God!

Lol. Even if this was true, art and politics have always gone hand in hand. Art without something to say isn't worth much.

Christian movies are not exactly good movies, and they're heavily into sending political messages.

It's not about art saying something, but saying something interesting, or unexpected, or thoughtful, or deep, or wit, or clever, or beautiful or at least, different. When art is about repeating the same mantra again, and again, and again, and again, and again... it just becomes boring and forgettable.

That would make no sense. Trump was around 16 at the time. His family is of German descent, so maybe we'll meet a double of the young Donald Trump in Berlin and have a wink wink moment. But 21st century politics is a long time from now in a parallel world far, far away. Sounds like a BS rumor to me. Don't believe everything you read online!

chrisjdel, his family is also of Scottish descent.

My point stands though. The show's timeline diverges so completely from ours that there will never be a President Trump, at least not as we know him. You could have some earnest young Hitler youth introduce himself as Donald Trump just for a bit of deadpan comic relief. I personally wouldn't though. First of all, because politics are everywhere and you want a break from it. But also, how much can you really villainize teenage Trump in the MIHC world? He's a fascist and a tyrant at heart - why, if he ever comes into power the country could end up ... oh right. Never mind.

(chuckle)

I agree 100%. I just don't see the point.

Do what I do: avoid any series until the story arc has ended and you checked there was no SJW converged material. Same thing with movies: don't watch them until you're sure it has no politics or enforced diversity.

So, are you defending Trump?

reply

It is boring and I don't watching anything modern at all because of it.

I stopped watching this show early on though because it seemed like a Police procedural which I also dislike.

reply

Trump? Where did you think you saw a reference to Trump? I don't think I noticed it and I have watched a three seasons twice? It must be very subtle or maybe not? Tell what what?
