Remember When The Ads Had Swastikas?

Literally one person got offended and complained and now it's different. Sucks how the PC community ruins everything.

Funny how so many fools think the Swastika is/was a Nazi symbol.

Any evidence that it was "literally" only one person who was offended by the advertising?

No, I didn't think so.

Here's what we know:

-- 1. Amazon originally had an ambitious advertising program that included redecorating the interiors of subway cars in New York with representations of both the Third Reich flag and the Japanese battle flag. Many, many subway writers complained, which gave the advertising suppliers their first clue that maybe they ought to be a bit more circumspect in how they promoted this series.

-- 2. German law isn't all about freedom of expression at almost any cost the way American law is. When it comes to pro-Nazi material, or anything that remotely smells like it, such as certain artistic representations of the swastika, German law flatly prohibits some such expressions. Amazon would like for their advertising to be fully legal in Germany, for obvious reasons.

"I don't deduce, I observe."
